After a remarkably successful first rehearsal, the Super Happy Adventure Club is in a state of disarray. Due to Nick's unpredictable and mostly incompatible schedule, full band rehearsals have ground to a halt, and club president Mateo is, sadly, actively searching for a replacement.
Last night, suffering a sleepless night thanks to illness brought on by debauchery, President Mateo conceived of a new model for the club. Rather than simply a band, it will be an actual club. There will not be concerts, but rather, meetings. There will likely be multiple acts, each exhibiting a different style and carrying a different name.
Members of the Club will pay dues, and there will be certain benefits associated with membership, something like the public radio model. Given the rather unusual nature of the Club as a creative enterprise, and the rather fluid nature of contemporary popular art music as an industry, simply "getting a band together", must be seen as merely one aspect of a successful enterprise. What a mouthful of bullshit.
Club President Mateo encourages your input and participation. By his own admission he is a terrible businessman, organizer, and conspirator. More details will be revealed as they present themselves.
